How I cook peas from frozen

How many times do I say "garlic butter" in this video?? 😂

Make frozen peas fabulous with my recipe for buttered peas! A quick side that goes with everything. Don't boil the peas - cook from frozen in garlic butter. Easier, tastier, bright green, never mushy and never watery!

How I cook frozen peas (Garlic Butter Peas)
 
50g / 3 tbsp unsalted butter (or other oil/fat)
2 garlic cloves , finely minced
500g / 1 lb frozen peas, I prefer baby/petite but regular is fine
1/2 tsp cooking / kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp water
 
1. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until very light golden. Add frozen peas, salt, pepper and water. Increase to medium high, cook 5 min or until peas are hot (frozen peas are already cooked so just need to reheat). Serve!

It's so easy to make peas tasty that there's no excuse of bad peas. Can also try throwing in some soy sauce, fish sauce, mirin, sugar, MSG, chopped onions, or some mix of spices from the cupboard.

Billion dollar insight - Cookery Kaizen. Use small pot base as modified mallet to bang bag of frozen peas to break it apart. Put water in pot to boil. Pour peas from bag into same mallet pot to cook.

Maybe if I add chicken broth it would be recipe I’m looking, that was serve at a church breakfast with bread. But I’m sure the church cook add only water & it was very good.

I do peas in sauce, I fry an onion throw the peas in pepper and salt to taste then pasata sauce then cover with water cook till peas are aldente then eat
