Yeah, but the poor vendor probably has to pay 100K per year to the state to stand on the corner in the heat, freezing rain, and snow. I really feel sorry for those guys. Plus, I wouldn't eat that food in a million years, anyway, even if it was FREE!

I own a hot dog cart in Garner, NC and yes I've had to go up on my prices recently because of rising food and supply costs, but dang. My most expensive item is my BIG smoked sausage and the 1/4 pound all beef dogs .. they are both $5 each.

Even Walgreens sells Rice A Roni for a dollar per box. You could get ten boxes of Rice A Roni for that one hot dog. Feeding three to five people with one box of Rice A Roni, rather than one hot dog for one person. And, it was just a hot dog on a bun, and she barely had ketchup or mustard. If ever there was a racket. THAT place is a racket.
