You can still dry them if they are green! Just takes a little longer but I put mine on a shelf in a dry sunny spot or near my heater and turn them every few days! They dry totally fine and WAY less work than this!

If they are green you can put them in the oven. We have to do this in Canada as our season is too short for luffas.

Ooo0ohh you could/should stitch a bar of soap in the middle of some of the sponges, that'd be awesome

Awesome for nonstick and cast iron! Love the square ones!

The mold and mildew that grows in loofahs are why we all stopped using them in the hippie days. Still, better than sponges. 😮😅😅😅

In Asia we normally eat the young one, stir fry it with garlic and shallot plus salt, pepper & sugar. It's delicious and really healthy.

Loofah are delicious. Just mixed it with salt, garlic, pepper and some noodles. They are sweet when fresh.

I’m growing luffa for the first time this yr! They got a really slow start so hopefully we make it to maturity! In GA so we do have a pretty long grow season 🤞🏻 wish me luck!

We have been using these for ages in north africa (Algeria) 20 years ago every house had one of these in their back yard we used it as food and when left a bit longer on the tree as loofah it's eco friendly and doesn't need a lot of maintenance although the trees can be a bit invasive
