If u cook this while it's young, it taste great. My mom use to sate it with garlic, soy sauce. Same with the young stalks also (blanch first, then sate), one of my favorite side dish.

We just grew luffa for the first time this year. We're going to give it as gifts for Christmas along with our homemade pickles 😊

My skin still remembers the days when we have new luffas in our showers 😑😶😵‍💫 in Mexico! Oh my Lord 😑

I'm from Africa. Nigeria to be precise. And luffa grow by themselves on lands around. They are free to be harvested.

The weather is amazing there. Here in the city it’s always cold. Wonder if that would make a difference

In Brazil, we use luffa to wash ourselves in the shower...great to exfolitate the skin and activate circulation.

Careful where you plant it! It’s unbelievable! My ONE plant covers an arched trellis, 30 feet of cattle panel and has marched over the garden fence and went on its way. Too many luffas to count at this point. It’s still making new luffas everyday and we eat the baby ones a couple times a week! Too many luffas to count = a bazillion and one seeds! 😂

As tedious as the cleaning is, it's also so therapeutic. ❤

Wish they were cultivated here in Western Europe. They're only sold through (pricey) organic stores here (if you don't wanna buy from questionable companies lke Amazon). Maybe when the climate heats up further they will grow here 😶

Did you grow up planting or did you have to learn it? Either way its learning but I was just curious if like your parents taught you. I wish I had a green thumb. Maybe if I actually focus ill be able to. 😊

Just wondering, what you use all your Luffa for ?

Luffa is a invasive plant . Of you control the growth .it will take over your garden

Are you selling the green ones if they don’t dry in time ?

Please don’t attack me but I am really intrigued by your channel and what you’re doing. I am a city slicker and don’t know much about homesteading, and growing. What exactly is Loofa used for besides sponges? Is it edible? I ever new they grew like that . Please be kind when I really want to know
