Im new in cubase... Need a way to mute a track (fade down to zero) without effecting the mixer console... in FL studio I used a simple Stock EQ and automated that gain nope down to zero.
You dont want to automated the mute or fader cuz it will affect the mixer console and keeps me from using it. Or can I somehow constrain the automation clip to just affect a short part of the song? Like cutting the automation off.

first 30 seconds of the video, I'm laughing, I'm smiling, I'm actually shedding WHERE HAS THIS BEEN FOR THE LAST the amount of time I've manually moved everything one by one to slot some space in....oh wow

Again, useful tricks, thank you! :D As for the auto-fade, I suspect I had enabled it in my main template at some point, because I haven't heard any clicks for months by now. I forgot about it, but now it makes sense. Many sample starts/ends used to click a lot in the past, I had to manually treat them.
