Tricked them into thinking they are removing bugs they can’t reach. Nuts.

"Who can tell?" says David, as we look into the face of a creature that has clearly never had a single thought in its entire life.

This has to be THE weirdest thing I have ever learned about birds, even more than the lyrebird micking car alarms and chainsaws.

Nature is SO magnificent. It deserves our utmost respect.

Worth it just to hear Sir David say "boobies".

Let this be a reminder, don't underestimate something just because it's small.

These finches have developed a rather unique way of finding food from seabirds. Nature has a way of making animals creative to survive. What a great example of the Galapagos Islands' harshness and power of evolution! 🌿🦅

Hmm, interesting the other birds don't fight back more.

Does this weaken the larger birds? Or is it only a minor injury that stops bleeding quickly?

Cool segment. A bit gruesome but very informative. Scarcity turns these birds into something else.
