"she loves herself for no reason"
I recognize what a privilege it is to share my life, my progress and my journey on social media. I recognize how problematic this industry is and how, in order to receive the benefits of an industry built on capital and greed, one must learn to play the game. I recognize that I have an obligation to use my platform to promote dialogue about intersectionality and diversity--how can we maintain a sense of individuality in an industry built on "ideal" (read: white, fit, lean) bodies? How can I utilize my position of privilege while minimizing how complicit I become in the exploitation of those who have not been afforded the privileges I have been? I am interested in transparent and honest conversations and constructive critical thought.
