Pay your damn bills and you will not be evicted.

Landlords didn't get their rents. Sorry government you screwed up. Eviction is the only way.

Why wont these people buy a building and then rent out to Section-8 tenants that refuse to work and refuse to pay rent?

Soon, there’ll be blocks of empty houses the sidewalks lined with overflowing tents in front of them.

To be fair, lets hear from her landlord. I'm sure he has a different story about why he evicted her.

I have 4 properties and I will no longer rent to women, especially with kids. If they fall behind in rent they just make excuses won't pay. I rather rent to a drug dealer man who keeps up my property than a woman with a dead end job. Sorry not sorry

Is this going on only in Florida? Why do we hear a lot of negative news about Florida lately?

Ppl so funny acting like they don’t know how money works. I didn’t realize I owed weeks of rent, were you inside the property? What you think… that’s why the Judge hit the gavel on her.

Well it should. There is really no reason a landlord should ever have to fully evict a tenant. They should be able to be adults and come up with a plan, the only reason it ever goes this far is because the tenant simply decides to “steel“ time in the unit. It is because the tenant has the backing of the police and the courts that they are able to complete this crime. This should never ever happen. If someone is stealing from you you should be able to do whatever you need to do to stop them. However in the situation the laws enable the tenant to commit a crime of theft. Also in California the court records are sealed for 60 days from date of filing. This enables the evicted party to lie to a new landlord and say they were never evicted. I don’t understand this. If you are accused of a crime and charged whatever it may be, the court records are immediately available to anyone. Except in evictions. This needs to be done away with immediately. It is allowing it to be acceptable. That’s why myself and my colleagues whenever we run across someone who has an eviction on their record, no matter what the circumstance. Immediately deny that person Housing. When they ask why or what they will have to do. We refer them to the shelter.

Florida is such a messed up state. Hopefully people realize and move out of this great state with corrupt politicians and businesses there.

Ask landlords how many tenants skipped town after a year or more of free accommodations. Landlords are the only ones who didn't get paid for the last 2 years. Government, grocery stores, gas stations, fast food restaurants all got paid. And landlords are the bad guys.

Owned back me know how that works out.

Are there thousands of EMPTY apartments? Not here in LA. Maybe landlords don't wish to deal with rental assistance issues when they can rent to someone who can afford the apartment. It's simply supply and demand economics. If YOU can receive $10, 000 for your automobile, do YOU have an OBLIGATION to sell it to someone else for $5, 000 to someone that can ONLY afford $5, 000 or do YOU sell your automobile to someone for $10, 000? I don't know why some people want OTHERS to do what they themselves wouldn't do. YOU want a RAISE, well SO DO "I". PAYUP or move out. WE ALL DESERVE A RAISE. These same people aren't out there giving PERSONAL handouts to strangers. WHY are some people in THIS situation and OTHERS ARE NOT??? THAT is what you need to know to AVOID THIS happening to YOU.

He had no business evicting her if he got paid but what did she mean by the Landlord didn't tell her she owed for the missing weeks? I wish they asked her what missing weeks means. The contract spells out what you have to pay, the Landlord shouldnt have to tell her she's got to pay whatever was in the contract he gave her.

Why should landlords let people stay in their homes until the government decides to pay their rent. And they should not erase no eviction its not fair to the landlords to get somebody that want pay their rent. Who every thinks that evictions should be erased from a person record needs to take these people that don't pay rent and let them live in their house.

One must be crazy to be in the landlord business. People don't pay, they destroy property, they squat. Beware landlords....!
