Good employees don’t leave a company because of the work. They leave because of the people.

Pat, I don’t leave many comments but I want to let you know what watching your videos did for me. For 20 years I have been grinding it in the hvac field. I’m 41 and have worked sometimes 90 plus hrs a week. Every year I would have clocked the most hours out of anybody. I watched the owners work maybe 10-20 hrs a week and take home 6 figures a year. Watching your videos helped me get the balls to invest in myself. Myself and a coworker left our previous employer and opened our own HVAC company January 5th. 1st month we broke even maybe a slight loss ( not bad considering buying a truck, stock etc). 2nd month which isn’t even over we turned a profit. Thanks for the videos and guidance. I truly admire and agree with most of what you say. It is so rare to find someone with a passion for their profession. In our field maybe 1/10 can survive. I just wanted to say thanks for putting things into perspective. I always knew my attitude and drive ways way beyond others. I just never knew how to put it into words. You do it perfectly. Keep the videos coming👍👍.

Very accurate. I built a business with my free time and then quit my job. I cannot believe the hoops I used to jump through for a cruel boss.

Very valuable information. Thank you for sharing Patrick. The ones that got my attention the most were:

1. Lowering your standards.
2. Flip-flopping.
3. Not showing up.

Great video, I have a lawn and landscape maintenance company I've been running for 17 years and my biggest challenge by far is building and retaining the team. Thanks for the tips Pat.

That's the nice thing of "FU" money. You can quit without blinking an eye when the boss acts like he's doing you a favor but taking advantage of you.

I’ve made these mistakes and lost people. I was upset at them at the time but over time I understood it was my fault.

I recently worked with a partner who was flamboyant with his visions and motivation speech but afterwards was seen sitting behind a desk scrolling facebook and WhatsApp while I was busting myself off for the said "vision"
I quit working with him -_-

Excellent video Pat! I just had a staff member of my old team call me today a say most of the points you raised in you video about me.
I was so humbled that my old team thought of me that way and I have to say thank YOU for your coaching as it definitely changed my leadership style for the better.
