How's it going reading the Catholic Catechism in a Year? I'm glad you asked! Today I am sharing my honest CIY review... what I'm loving, what I'm struggling with, and what I think are the two most powerful, inspiring, and absolutely Do Not Miss Days so far. Reading the Catechism all the way through has been high on my Catholic spiritual reading bucket list for quite awhile now.... and it has definitely been quite an adventure so far!

Yep, doing CIAY (or CIY) and very happy that I have made the commitment. There are days that I am just overwhelmed with the ideas. I really love that Fr. Mike says it isn't about more information, but transformation. That is like a punch to the gut. The discussion about the Holy Spirit has been very helpful to me. I often struggle with how to wrap my head around the Holy Spirit, the mission of the Spirit and the Spirit's role. Thanks for doing this video.

Sadly, I started off in January and didn't make it through the month. Not a comment on the CIAY; life just intervened. I still plan on doing it, but just not this year.

I have been surprised at how much I’m enjoying the catechism (maybe if I had dusted it off once in awhile previously I wouldn’t have been😂). It is actually very beautiful, and I agree Fr. Schmitz’s explanations are key, as I found they were with the Bible. Like you, I love the quotes from documents and saints. And I had the same thought as you, Jennifer, about how blessed we are to have the truths of our faith contained in such a comprehensive way. I’m so glad to have taken this opportunity to read the catechism—God bless Fr. S. and Ascension for making it so do-able. 🥰

Yes, I am doing the Catechism in a year and so far I love it so much!! If it weren't for him I never would have read the Catechism in the year book. Ii have had it for years and never ever read it.I also did Bible in a year and loved that also. Thanks for talking about this

I did the BIAY last year and intended to do CIAY this year, but got a late start. Plan to try to catch up now. Thanks for the encouragement.
