We know the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a powerful resource for understanding Church teachings, Scripture, and Tradition. Something we don’t often hear about is the absolute beauty of this work.

Bobby and Jackie Angel discuss why they love the Catechism and the poetic elements that unveil the Catholic Faith. They tell us why we should join them in listening to The Catechism in a Year podcast.

I was born Catholic. I love my faith and am thankful I was raised Catholic. When my mom died very unexpectedly when I was 29 and our son was only 1, I remember vividly thanking my dad for giving us our faith and bringing us up in the Catholic faith. I said if it wasn’t for our faith, I would not have been able to get through the death of my mom.

I’m so looking forward to catechism in a year. It will be interesting to see how much I truly remember, what I have forgotten and if there is anything I don’t remember learning at all.

God Bless everyone. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

It was the 94 white paperback Catechism of the Catholic Church that brought me back to the faith.

I had Mr. Angel as a “director of faith” you can call it at my high-school. He’s such a kind and intelligent man. Wish the best!

I've been looking forward to Catechism in a Year. In the past I've used the Catechism as a sort of a reference book if I wanted to dive into something the Church teaches but I never sat down and went through the whole thing cover to cover. If anyone can help with that it's Fr. Mike. His Bible in a year podcast organized the scriptures into "bite sized" devotional readings which really helped, especially with his explanations and background information about what we just read each day.
