For those in the back, he was actually going the speed limit, not 126. Someone did the math and it checks out.

Don't know who posted that reddit but dude is literally going the speed limit if he was going 126 I can guarantee you he is going to be in multiple pieces, not walking away with just scratches

Based on how long it took him to go from light post to light post he was doing around 45mph

Both got lucky with the bike guy not dying...

I know a guy who was actually going over 100mph and a similar thing happened. When the cops showed up they said it didn't matter what speed the motorcyclist was going. The vehicle shouldn't of pulled out.

This guy must be a extremely good motorcycle driver to slide under the truck like that avoiding a collision

If that is what 126 mph looks like then I’m doing that everyday

He probably glanced, saw the motorcycle was far enough to turn, panicked when he saw that the motorcycle was going way faster than he thought, and stopped out of the panic of the situation.

I don't think it's the same street but I grew up near to a street that looks exactly like that; I restarted the video several times to check but I couldn't tell, especially as they had construction on it a few years ago. How it works for the truck is, the side street on the right enters the main road (the one that the interaction occurs) and the main road only goes forward (for the section the accident occured, there is another two lane section going the other way which you can *sometimes* cross over). If you want to go the other way on the street, you need to wait and then merge into the street running parallel to the one we're the accident occurred. The truck was doing the right thing by pausing to check that he wasn't pulling in front of a car but because his truck is so large, and he stopped too far back tbf, he accidentally blocked both lanes. That actually happened a lot and caused a lot of traffic, especially if the other side was busy because no one would ever let anyone enter. It was a stupid stretch of road that was congested a lot.
The motorcycle was going way too fast. The truck didn't stop suddenly, he was going too fast to react.

The people defending the biker speeding in a 20mph zone by 60 MPH are the reason why bikers have a bad name. He was wrong no matter how you split it and caused the other driver to panic. The court will not be on his side in any way shape or form

Well here's the thing if it's a 30 to 45 mph zone you can judge when to pullout you don't expect a motorcycle going 4 times the speed limit to come out of nowhere. People might asked why the driver stopped. But probably was shocked and froze which is a natural instinct the same way fight or flight mechanism works.

Truck, failure to yield is failure to yield. Had the exact same situation happen to me in 2017
