I kinda like that you can calibrate it to the drywall thickness instead of just guessing. the marker is a nice feature too.

Like you guys said, it's a cool concept. Maybe a little before it's time. Ultimately, I like buying dedicated tools to do these jobs. Already have 2 expensive stud finders. Lol. Thanks guys!

Cool idea I would like to see it refined more and moved over as a Milwaukee product eventually to replace the M12 sub scanner.

Lmao dan, at 3:19 when eric said if you cant see it then we will just pretend you can see it, i was thinking back to when you used to cut the videos, lol and then a minute later you started talking about it.

Agreed. The two handed operation of this sucks, but the pin hole feature does fix that a little. Also, the center of the stud feature does looks a like screwy and hard to use. I'd much rather of the lights marking the full length of the stud like the Franklin Prosensor has.

Can't beat the Franklin sensors when it comes to stud finders. Easy and they work great.

Thats A Good Idea, Adding Tools With A Smart Phone. But Also Agree That A Stud Finder Probably Isnt The Best One To Get. Funny Video!

Ryobi. And innovation. I'm impressed.

I like the idea of it pin pointing the center rather than having to mark either side of the stud.  However, the need for two hands is definitely awkward....especially for people like me that have the Galaxy Note phablet.

Its a good idea but, and I think I'm pretty tech savvy, stud finders have NEVER worked for me. I bought the best one Home Depot had to offer at the time, two years ago. Couldn't find a stud even if you bribed it with new batteries. After many many failed attempts I just settled to buy anchors and using those as support and it has been working great. Saw a good one on Amazon for 50 bucks which have seen many reviews on but I'll stick to my anchors for now till I have to set up TV wall mounts or something. Anyways, another great video guys Goldie out!

PS. My birthdays coming up Dec 2nd, maybe I can get some Klein tools fingers crossed✌️

I think the 2 hand operation is going to be the biggest pain with this first edition tool, some stud finders you need the right pace for it to work correctly, I see this being frustrating. But it's a great idea and I'm sure the next one they can cut the cord and just have it attach to phone and will be better foe the end user

Great idea in theory. Too many bugs in it for now I think. Limited to just 2 different lines of phone is not a great start. I can't see a pro using this but a DIY person would love it.

The Phone Works line looks a little too delicate for me. Keep the videos coming. I am still interested to see this stuff work even though it is not for me.

have to agree Dan, don't see the need for this one and the two handed operation is finicky....kind of hoping DeWalt irons out the kinks with theirs and get it re-released..it looked good if they can make it work...overall though liking this Ryobi phone works gear...awesome!

Eric and Eric or anyone, what is the best stud finder out there right now? I have a few different kind and they don't work as well as I want.

Like u said it sucks that u gotta use 2 hands when most are one hand operations...what's next in the lineup?

I agree with you guys, probably best to just buy a normal stud finder so it can be used one handed.

The cool concept is definitely there with all of the phone tools ryobi is putting out. But if the other brands decide to do something similar they would do it better.
