It is so important that you treat this as just a tool and not the whole answer. First, make sure the "studs" that you find are 16" apart nominally. 2nd using magnets to find the nails in the studs as further confirmation. To me this is so much better and faster than pounding on the wall and then driving nails to find the studs.

Thank you for this video. I have being using an auto-level/stud-finder from 20 years ago. Devices back then, did not integrate so many options/features. Need to keep moving the detector back and forth to 'kind of' find the edge of stud, AND keep a pencil handy to mark that.
After seeing your video, I will be upgrading to this Ryobi stud finder.

It detects wires the same as a stud. What a fail pos.
