Agreed. You cant explain to someone who has never had one the true torture of an episode, it’s unfathomable. Imagine the worst brain freeze you’ve ever had times it by 10 that could last for two hours or more 2 or 3 times in 24 hours .

Iv tried home remedies like trying to knock myself out, hot showers, sniffing petrol, screaming to a god I don’t believe in .

I've endured a lot from being thrown accross an intersection in a vehicle, being shot, and more. but nothing compares to the intensity of a cluster attack. I've gone from happy and productive to outright screaming at the top of my lungs begging for mercy in as little as 3 minutes. I've fractured my hands thrashing in agony and trying to give myself ANY distraction. that's right, I have willfully fractured bone to DISCTRACT myself from the pain in my head.. that sounds insane but that's just how bad these attacks can get. my attacks are almost always 1-3 hours and happen on average 6-8 times a day for months on end and some years I don't really get much of a break. usually they happen around winter and spring for me but I've had them at random through out the year. some days I sincerely question what life is worth when I'm suffering an attack. a visceral, gutteral, inexplicable agony that is only semi effectively addressed with non FDA approved methods. the medications do nothing, the opiates do nothing. when I feel a shadow come on I know it's time to isolate myself for fear of making a scene and terrifying people who have no understanding of what I'm going through or means to help. I equate cluster headache to feeling as if "satans horseshoe is being repetitively kicked into my eye at full force" as if my eye socket is full of red hot coals and there's a pissed off clydes dale repetitively kicking me in the eye for an hour or more... all. day.. long.. it's misery. I suffer in silence and pray for remission, even if it's only a couple of days like I had between these last cycles.

27 diagnosed 9 years ago at 18 and I'm currently suffering one writing this. This is the worst pain I've ever felt and I was a dumb kid. saddest part about it all is that its extremely rare and under studied. Don't even start with healthcare providers they do not see the difference between CH and Migraines.

If you have Cluster Headaches or Migraine please investigate about Nasal Sprays Medications and Nasal Sprays Antialergics. Also try detoxing your body with Cilantro Tea and Coconut Oil "I add a little bit to my coffee" in the morning. This helped me 1, 000% more then any other treatment. Thanks God!!!

I understand the logistics of the YouTube algorithm, but censoring the word suicide in relation to cluster headache is unproductive. I’m a sufferer so I know… they are called suicide headaches for a reason.
I just mean to say that it’s incredibly important to me that people understand the severity so that we can more aggressively approach a better understanding and treatment for this.
Fortunately I have been mostly in remission for about 4 years but I still have 1 or 2 nasty clusters every year, while on high dose verapamil treatment. The horror is absolutely indescribable.
