More 'Useless' Minecraft Features

Minecraft has a lot of completely useless features. While some people may brush these features off as a waste of time for the developers of the game to create, I personally have always loved these features. Lots of these mobs and items can be a fun challenge to collect, and others I simply think are just cool. In this video, I detail some of more my favorite useless Minecraft features. How to get them, what they do, and why they're cool. I hope you all enjoy, and feel free to check out part 1 if you haven't already.

FOXES CAN USE MACES??? That might be the most hilarious thing I've seen in Minecraft ever 😭

llamas are so annoying because they were used IRL by peruvian indigenous groups as a cargo animal that can climb 3000m+ very steep mountains yet their caravan pathfinding explodes once you move 0.0001cm above them. Maybe if they could climb 2 blocks at a time and jump at will they'd be better but as of today they're a victim of minecraft's everlasting problems with pathfinding in general.

I will never get over the fact they removed fireflies because irl frogs can't eat them. It was such a cool idea to add them in the game and then they took them away to make frogs eat slimes instead.

“Bruh; why are you dropping my maxed out netherite sword for a slab of raw chicken?”
I mean… it’s a fox. Foxes gotta eat!

I hate the kind of people who rush to the end of the game, optimize everything as much as possible, and then complain that the game is boring

Wanna know what pack animal is ALSO commonly used in caravans? _Camels._ They should make tamed Llamas follow the camel when the player is riding it, instead of the annoying lead gimmick. It doubles as making Llamas _actually_ usable, while also giving the Camel more of a purpose outside of an alternate Horse.

(sorry this is like my billionth comment)

3:21 The main reason they prioritize food is so you can more easily get your stolen items back without killing them (but they should make it so that they prioritize _sweet berries_ specifically instead of all food items).

Crossbows let me turn my inventory into a machine gun which makes them my second favorite weapon.

I never even considered that foxes could use maces

Also it’s worth noting that Piercing makes the crossbow the only practical ranged option that can counter shields, so it’s good for pvp.

Llamas can’t be ridden because they aren’t strong enough to be ridden in real life and can only be used as pack animals.

My problem with llamas is that leads are so easy to break that it gives me anxiety that at any moment my items could get lost because of some bs or minecraft's mob pathfinding

In my opinion, practically all of active people on the social media have that thing were they rush elytra, optimize everything, make megabuilds and have all that set path. but there is a larger side. just casual players who wanna play the game as it is. also another theory is that this playerbase has a larger side on bedrock edition, were there isn't many youtubers/influencers that play on it.

I've honestly used the crossbow a LOT more than a regular bow in recent times so I'm happy to see it mentioned! Something you didn't bring up that I want to mention is how crossbows can be PRELOADED while regular bows can't. It's frankly the primary reason I use crossbows. A regular bow may be fast, but a pre-charged crossbow is INSTANTANEOUS, no delay required. I've found this one feature to be very convenient in certain scenarios.

Is a regular bow still quicker overall? Yes. Regular bows are still objectively better, don't get me wrong. If you want a more powerful & practical ranged weapon, the bow is the obvious choice. But for me, I'll stick with my trusty ol' crossbow :)

The mace with wind burst seems hilarious for a fox to hold

Whenever minecraft adds new features, I think about how a new player would stumble upon it or figure out how it works. There are definitely flops like Alley breeding using an item that is never hinted at while doing something else very obscure.

But sometimes it’s this perfect gem of a moment like seeing a zombie piglin use a fungus on a stick on a strider and then doing the same and completely revolutionizing nether lava travel.

The damage of the fireworks is based on the explosion of the fireworks

I don't see why armor trim templates have to be consumed. When you make a cake or use lava to fuel a furnace, the buckets don't disappear.
Just do that with armor trims. It's purely cosmetic so I don't see why they can't be an infinitely reusable item.

I think the duplication recipe for trims should be 1 trim, 1 diamond, and 7 corresponding blocks
cause when you look at trims, it’s stone etched with diamonds, not diamonds etched with stone

Piercing Crossbows firing Harming II arrows are terrifying in any context. PvP? Shields don't protect you. PvE? You can reuse the arrows. That's like, infinite potions with a throwing range on crack.

The only thing I’d add about mob heads: there should be a way to obtain the Steve head in survival, also they should have it so the Steve head placed on a note block makes the original “ooh” damage sound the player would make when they take damage.
