Hi Jacob, me again with a small tip ;)
If you have a Luma mat you don't need a Shift Channel - in the field where you set the matte there is a small button to the right of it where you can switch the matte to Luma Matte. (By the way, have you already tried the diffuse shader or did it not work? ) Best, Ivo

Does this have to be done with After Effects? Adobe's subscription fees are a non-starter for many of us, especially those trying to learn. How about something using DaVinci Resolve/Fusion?
