Hi Jeff, I watched you since when you were playing for Stanford. Thanks so much for everything. I noticed that your followthrough does not have the pronation as Federer does. Is it a different type of serve? Especially on the slice, I feel what you do is more natural, but some say it should pronate. What do you think?

Hi jeff! Do u think that jumping the rope 5 min, 3 times a week will improve my footwork? Would you make a video about footwork drills?
Thank you jeff!!!!

Hi, Jeff. Thanks for the nice video.
I want to learn how to hit with force the forehand stroke when the ball is coming high. I feel comfortable hitting the ball hard when the ball is coming at the chest height but very difficult to hit strong when the ball is high although I feel it is a chance ball. Thanks!

So impressive the way you serve so well and so effortlessly. Any idea what speed you’re serving at in this video?

How do you hit the can opener slice...the one where it lands short in the box but slices super wide and forces the returner to return the serve in the doubles alley? I heard the only why to hit that kind of slice is to take a lot of pace off the ball.

hi Jeff, is there a way to get the slice serve more reliable.  ie, a topspin slice (simply a rainbow shape w/ a slice curve)?  I finally after over a year of practice/experimenting, got the topspin/kick serve down. now i'm in the second phase and  I've been trying out 2 ways to do a high percentage slice serve and that's by 1) using my same 2nd serve topspin technique  but just go more w/ the body as I swing forward instead of staying sideways. and 2) simply trying to hit up on the ball as it comes down similar to the normal topspin serve but just making sure i'm hitting the right side of the ball so the direction would lead to a slice bounce.    the 'carving' around the ball has some nasty right to left on it, but the percentage is just too low for me to rely  on as there's not enough height over the net or enough up and down ball flight action.   anyway, just wanted to see if you thought either 1) or 2) above was more the right way to go about adding a nice shape/high percentage to the slice serve. p.s. i'm not as tall as you.  thanks Jeff

Good tips, a little question, what is your opinion on the toss? I know its a bit easier to come around the ball and produce more slice if you throw the ball a bit more away from you, however you then give away your serve. Should you have a different toss to make easier spin, or should you work to hit all your serves from the same toss in order to disguise it?

Hi Jeff, great tips as always.
I have started to feel the slice only since a few months ago but I can only do it, as a lefty, if I toss the ball more on my left. If I toss in front of me, I tend to hit flat. I don't want to send the signal to my opponent that I am going to serve a slice. Do you have a tip to serve slice/flat with the "same" toss?
Also, the slice serve is slower and I get punished on the return (either short cross court or slice down the line). How can you make your slice serve safer with may be more spin?
At my level, I try to overcome this issue by serving in the middle of the service box instead of wide so my opponent is not in the best position to hit a winner.
Finally, I played with a friend (also lefty) who could hit a slice serve, but when the ball bounces, it does not go toward the fence but toward the player. When I (try) to return his serve, I can see the arc of the slice so I expect the ball wide but after the bounce, the ball changes its direction toward me. Is it a mix of a slice and kick serve for advanced player?

Is the follow through and ending the same as in the kick serve? I know the ball path is different but it looks like everything else is the same as in your kick serve video?

Must you always jump/ take your feet off the ground, or can you begin not doing this
