Kitesurf Insane High Jump Gets Caught in Thermal Updraft!

Imagine you're out for a ride, and suddenly encounter a surge of warm air rising around you. Would you release your grip and fall before you get too high, or would you hold on and attempt to steer your way back down?
This guy did it right... is that him style grabbing on the way down too? 😂

Luckily this is a very rare occurrence in kitesurfing! Would generally only ever happen in mountainous areas. Has something like this ever happened to you?
