Very common on early models, there are kits "coolant delete" that resolve this issue.

Id recommend buying the bypass kit. They dont need coolant

Empty bolt hole and electric plug is removed.

It only affects cars more than decade old, already addressed by tesla and aftermarket. about $2000-$2800 fix. Most units don't need any motors or inverters replaced. There are only a few thousand of these vehicles out there. Still one of the lowest cost to own vehicles ever made. Easy to work on.

I don't know anything about it, but it has o rings, so i would assume some sort of liquid is supposed to be there.

If they produce 1-million and 100 thousand are in the shop with all kinds of issues, that's 90 percent success rate, which is good in most companies building car-trucks, just sucks to be in that 10 percent club .Remember mass production, not hand built . Regardless of car cost.

Lucid's are so efficient they never needed that. Cooling is not an issue.
