I love how you just say “it wasn’t meant to be” when they didn’t work out. Love the positivity 😁

FYI Hells Kitchen is a super safe hood. The worst you’d deal with are annoying tourists and crazy homeless if you hang too close to Time Square. There aren’t really any ‘unsafe’ areas of Manhattan, even with the recent uptick of crime. NYC is the safest big city in the country.

You are so right that this content is needed. Most NYC Apt Hunting videos are so fat out of budget or they don't list their budget, which we all knows what that means. 🙄 Found your channel through this search, but subscribed for how likeable and relatable you are. Can't wait to see more of your NYC content!

If you end up moving into a building without an elevator or laundry services, doing laundry can end up being tedious especially in a walk up building. Amazon sells portable washers/dryers that you can hook up to your kitchen sink via a hose (reasonably priced)😊. Another nyc tip is that these older buildings can have roaches or mice. As far as roaches/bedbugs go I recommend buying more of a professional brand spray at home depot & spraying arnd your place 1x month as preventive maintenance.

Hells Kitchen is an awesome neighborhood! Great restaurants on 8th and 9th. And a one bedroom for under $2500? A steal!

Shower in the kitchen took me out 😂❤love the video. I’m from Chicago and think it’s a great alternative to NY for the city feel but everything is updated and spacious for similar prices or cheaper. I moved to San Diego and now Dallas thinking about my next move🎉

I live in Brooklyn and have lived there all my life. Im telling you I cannot wait to leave! The requirements for an apartment in NY is crazy! They be having the mf audacity to show dirty ass small apartments and they’re not even modern but be wanting modern money. I hope everything worked out and you love it. Good luck with everything, love!

These NYC apartments are atrocious and they should be ashamed for charging these ridiculous rental prices. Lived there all my life and paying all that rent was not worth it. Once I left I would never go back when I can get something immaculate for a fraction of the price.

It’s crazy how renting has become just as complicated if not MORE complicated than buying a home now days.

The way that the second hell’s kitchen apartment was dirty was not from a tenant. That was neglect for years and years from the landlord. They weren’t going to clean that before you moved in. Cracked tiles? Good call on not renting that.

"I fell in love with this apartment" and it's standing-room only, laid out like a jigsaw puzzle piece with bars on the windows and a toilet in the kitchen. $2500 usd per month.

I love New York (born and raised in Staten Island and still here) the rents are going crazy everywhere, but there is nothing like New York!!

Great video. Although I’m not moving to New York, I was interested to see what NYC had to offer in 2023. I’m personally considering moving to Miami, Florida, but I thought I’d take a break from the 305, and do research on other major cities, such as NYC, LA, Atlanta, etc.

Great video! Reminds me of our small apartments here in Boston. Also, trust me, you don't want a shower in the kitchen!! It's cute now but won't be after a short while.

You should have looked in Astoria! I lived there for 25 years- VERY safe, quick commute to Manhattan- and you could have gotten a generous 1-BR with a full kitchen- for much less than $2500. Manhattan is a rip-off- all those apartments were dumps.

Great Video and Enjoy living in NY!! As a former NYER I can't believe the requirements!!!! My grandmother lived in a rent stabilized apartment in Harlem/Lenox Terrace. We had a doorman, incinerator, washer and dryers in the basement it was fantastic!! Now this was almost 30 years ago but it was a couple hundred dollars. Boy how times have changed. Loved growing up there but love my 2430, four bed, three bath 🏡 in Florida! I really enjoy seeing how people decorate such small spaces. ☺️
