Thank you. I moved from a CSL Elite to a DD1 and I immediately dropped a second off my time in ACC at Silverstone and I instantly was able to drive the 911, which I never could before. Night and day difference. The immediate feedback is priceless. I’m still not blazing fast, but I can tell what the car is doing now.

Thank you for saying what you said about gear! I’ve always heard people say gear won’t make you faster and I completely understand there are people out there who have cheap gear and are winning competitions. However, I have pushed and pushed and gone through 1 on 1 coaching etc. and I felt like I hit a wall in my pace. I just upgraded my cockpit to a rigid 80/20 rig, the Fanatec DD, and some load cell pedals and the results have been awesome. Interestingly enough the pedals and DD wheel base on my old rig I was actually slower. But that rig had so much flex in it. When I built my TrakRacer TR80 I was a FULL SECOND faster within 5 laps and not even trying that hard. Again, I do believe people can get incredibly fast without all this stuff. But for me, it has been a total game changer! And so have your videos. So, thank you!

Once again, your way of thinking is right on point. I made the switch to direct drive, not expecting better lap times. In fact, my lap times got worse in the beginning. There was so much tuning, and feedback/information to process, that I needed time to get used to it. Then, I was able to become more consistent, and was able to learn better what that feedback information was telling me. This allowed me to recognize the car's performance, and know when to correct and how much. Did the wheel directly make me faster? I don't know. But, it did help me learn behaviors and to understand better the info I was getting. Plus, it's really great fun! Thanks again for this video!
