I stopped using hyaluronic acid and my skin inflammation and dryness went away. I was using the famous cerave daily moisturizer. I don’t use creams with this ingredient. I switched to laroche posay lipikar daily repair moisturizer lotion, which has glycerin

I live in a desert. I spray purified water all over my face, neck and chest THEN I apply my serum them creams. Also if the gets below 35% humidity in my room I run a humidifier. This is a must in the desert. It has worked beautifully for me.

Is it because of how hyaluronic acid increases absorption of other products? As in increasing the chances of an inflamed skin barrier if layered with potentially irritating actives/ingredients?

HA is terrible! I swear it gives me cystic acne on my chin. It makes me dry and itchy too. I wish companies would STOP with this horrid ingredient.

i feel like hyaluronic acid from la roche posay works really well for me, especially after dermaplanning to soothe my skin. i apply a couple of layers of rosewater before going in with the ha and my skin is soothed and glowing the next morning. would you not recommend ha at all or just to use 1. a good one, 2. a „single ingredient“ one and 3. to not expect it to work for all concerns? i love your channel and would really like your opinion on that! i have sensitive, rather oily skin with a little bit of rosacea and dryness especially in colder months. but i use it mainly for soothing and feel like it‘s doing a very good job! ❤
