I mean absolute no disrespect! My system took a shock when I saw the beautiful wahine (women) slam the base of the poi on the ground. In Kapa Haka that is UNSEEN. We just don’t do that. I love watching these, I just hope they have someone teaching Poi right. It was an amzing performance, their footwork, their posture, their transitions. Just that one thing! When it comes to Kapa Haka all us Māori like to pretend we’re a judge at Te Matatini 😂 Said with some much aroha. Kia Pai to Rā 🤍 Arohanui.
