I usually use a killer yeast strain, so I add live bread yeast for the first two days after pitching KV-1116. The bread yeast add a bit of activity at first, but end up being killed and eaten by the wine yeast. Only a very tiny bit of DAP and urea is needed if you do this.

So if the instructions say "one teaspoon per gal" you'll give it 1/3 teaspoon on day one and then again for three more days? What yeast nutrient is it? Fermaid O? Do you ever use yeast energizer as well like fermaid K? If so when do you use it?
