Those asking HOW the chestburster couldn't just burst it's way out of Superman with 8x Kryptonian Super Strength, seem to forget some crucial details.

1: Superman has powers granted to him by exposure to solar radiation from a yellow sun. His powers become even more potent if exposed to a Blue sun.

2: The chestburster wasn't exposed to any solar radiation, and thus, did not benefit from Superman's powers.

3: Superman's ultra dense kryptonian physiology was enough to keep the chestburster from escaping, and he kept it inside.

What surprises me is you didn't mention how he KILLED IT to prevent it from reaching maturity.

Honestly, I could imagine if Lex Luthor had acquired it from Superman akin to Alien Resurrection, and somehow managed to control it by using Kryptonite to weaken it and keep it confined in a room illuminated only by red solar radiation.

I can see that ending being one where Batman steps in with a Kryptonite javelin and kills the queen while wearing a suit armored to take blows from Superman, but also with a corrosion-proof layer so he doesn't lose anything.
