arcade cabinet is always a great challenge to make. You need to be a nerd who is also a skillful carpenter. I think that is a rare breed🤣

The button layout is upside-down. But otherwise, pretty nice job!

2:40 when you realize it's time to invest in some clamps

This is exactly what I want to build. I'll probably either sand down the panels smoove before painting or just use contact paper. I'd also set the monitor vertical if your planning to play any actual arcade games through MAME.

We definitely gotta do an updated build fam! Show us what you’ve learned along the way! You guys are amazing with all of the work and sharing that you do!💪🤓

You should do a toasty bros themed build where the case looks like a toaster. Or even better *the case is a toaster with a itx system inside*

Nice to see a build that doesn't include a hole workshop full of expensive tools because all I have is cordless jigsaw, dril; and sander

I am sorry to hurt your feeling guys but if nobody tells you the truth you wont learn. That arcade looks like crap (to put it mildly) It looks like a chicken coop. You did not even download a template to cut the arcade, you drew it by hand. WTF??? You can see the screws between wood panels, you did not even bother to install the buttons the right way, they are backwards!!! and that is with those cables coming out of te top of that door? 6:47 WTF?? How can this take a year?? With all that equipment you had you should have done a way better job.

This is awesome! Wish this was a more step by step detailed video for anyone who would want to do this because it sparked my interest. Great Vid 👍🏻

Why would you put 16:9 monitor to a retro game setup? All the games are in 4:3.

If you guys don't play the machine much you could definitely use it as recording set piece

You might want to put some aluminum foil behind your logo to diffuse the light a little more, but other than that, very nice build. Working on getting all the parts for one myself.

Not actually 100 if u dont have the pi already or the wood and wires or access to free monitor. Closest I got was 40 for wood, 60 for jamma card, 40 for jamma cable buttons and wiring and power supply, 80 for an old 19" monitor from a site that does refurbished monitors.

fun project. It's a deep rabbit whole to go down.. (I've built full size uprights, old console conversions, ps classic conversion, etc...)

On a side note, check your power supply for your PI. The bolt icon in the corner means it's not getting enough power.
