In this video, EDI Education explains the difference between Homogeneous and Heterogeneous mixtures.

Mixtures can be classified as homogeneous and heterogeneous. In homogeneous mixtures, you cannot distinguish the particles it is made of. An example of a homogeneous mixture is salt dissolved in water.

Instead, in heterogeneous mixtures, it is possible to distinguish particles by colour or size. An example of a heterogeneous mixture is rocks mixed with sand, oil and water or a delicious salad.
