We’re going to tackle the flagship particle effect, which is CC Particle World.
When the effect is applied to a solid, move forward in your timeline so you can see the particles.
Go into the physics tab and adjust the settings to control the speed and direction of the particles. I’ll set gravity to 0 to show the particles will just stay centered.
I can adjust the birth rate the reduce the amount of particles. We can also adjust the longevity to determine how long the particles will be on screen.
Now, we can go into the particle tab, change our particle type.
Adjust both the birth and death size, max out the opacity, and change our colors.
And that’s the basic run through on using particles in After Effects.
