It really affected neymar, the center piece of that team, and weve seen that theres a clear difference in quality when hes absent, with the exception of the 2019 copa, its bcuz neymar is half the team's idol so his presence is a huge morale boost

With Neymar missing, there's a very low chance that they'll win, especially right now, Neymar is a legend for Brazilian football right now and most players in that squad idolize him, he not only helps the team on the pitch but also morally, i mean who would wanna perform bad when playing in front of their idol

Edit: I absolutely hate the fact that without Neymar, Brazil is nothing, he's the playmaker, goal scorer, the 10, everything. Without him, Brazil just falls apart

I think that Neymar not participating is the biggest problem
Firstly he is their leader, every young player looks up to him and every older and experienced player love him Vini, Rodrygo, Endrick, Marquinhos...
And secondly he is their only playmaker, Brazil's biggest weakness is lack of great midfielders and no 10s and Neymar is last great playmaker that they have and him not being there simply hurts their team, the only one that can become a good one is Rodrygo or Lucas Paqueta but they are still not on Neymar's level

Argentinean here. Having an incredible lineup of top talent players isn't enough. You have to actually build a team, they have to be there for each other, their trainer needs to build trust between them and confidence. I disagree. All the Brazil “wonder kids” got forced into European styles at a young age, they don’t know how to play authentic football, the only one left who knew how to play real football was Neymar, and you could see it. Vs Croatia it was Neymar who was holding everything up, when Brazil lost they blamed Neymar. Even if Brazil starts to get better, they aren’t going to ever go back to being a country that conducts fear when you go against them in a match.
