Want to catch bigger fish? Want to catch the BIGGEST fish?! Targeting big bass requires a different mind set and a special set of skills. You need to set new goals, approach the water, weather, and environmental conditions differently. It might even require a bait or two you're not familiar with. But when you set the hook on the biggest bass you've ever seen, its instantly worth it! Dive in to today's full-length seminar and learn everything you'll need to know to catch the biggest bass in your lake.

Tim does an extraordinary job of teaching what you'll need to know to be successful. Catching bigger bass starts with a shift in your mindset. You're no longer on the water trying to catch fish, you're there to catch ONE fish. None of the other bass in the lake matter as much as the single fish you're pursuing so stay focused. Fish when the weather and environment are working in your favor, and success will follow.

While giant swimbaits are a huge part of consistently targeting BIG bass but there are other baits that will also catch these fish. Knowing how to "trigger" a feed response is critical. Baits like jerkbaits, crankbaits, and Alabama Rigs all play a key role in this method. Its also important to understand when conditions simply aren't conducive to big bait fishing and you're better off with a finesse approach.

Below is a breakdown of the baits and equipment Tim recommends as you pursue the biggest bass in the lake.

Love the part about leaving your confidence baits at home. Ive tried that and by the time i get to the car i run back inside to grab them, like a junkie.

I've referred back to you and Matt's videos so many times Tim when I'm struggling to land some fish. Most informative channel imo. Thank you!

6 min into this video and I 100% agree with what your saying. When I was learning how to bait cast, I left my spinning gear at home on purpose. To FORCE myself to learn how to use it. Needless to say, that tactic works. It was jokingly said if there was a backlash tournament, I’d be the king! But you know what I got out of it? Not only can I cast well now, but I can also un tangle well. Quite a few times I’ve been handed a horrid backlash on someone else’s pole that they gave up on only to get it out. My other advice? Throw whatever everyone else isn’t. Anything different, unusual, rarely used.

I see you are going with the Bender Bending Rodriguez method of fishing.

Why is it that everyone seems to use or recommend giant baitcaster reel for teener largemouth? If you look at saltwater, they all use spinning reels for bull redfish and other fish that fight a hell of a lot harder than any teener bass. So why don’t people use redfish style spin caster setups for big bass? Everyone says you need a super beefy baitcaster. I’m struggling to understand why. You guys are the experts. Please share your thoughts.

If I through that 12" minnow it would be a 200ft cast into the woods. Or it would be like I tied Chris Farley on my line as it does a cannonball on every splash down.
