Thanks to @Nadanesca and @clairemcdonald97 (Instagram)
Anyway, this is some kind of cosmic horror like HP Lovecraft, a descent into madness to sum up. Nothing out of the ordinary. It might look like an SCP, or maybe a level of the backrooms, but it's fully original, no inspiration from other youtubers like Kane pixels or anything.

And thank you so much for the feedback, it really makes me want to keep doing this. If you have ideas you'd like to suggest, or want to collaborate, don't hesitate !

That was an advanced technique known as LYING

For anyone wondering, the piece of music at 7:22 is Richard Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde: Liebestod"

15 years old and he gets tension like some of the modern greats. You could be the next indie darling director like Ari Aster with this style of story telling let alone how good the actual product is. Cosmic horror is SO hard to do right it always comes out cheezy or try hard. This just... I don't know. It FEELS right. It's how I want to feel watching something like this. Amazing work.

I really liked the point where the tension breaks on the beach. You did an awesome job of portraying them as some kind of weird humanoids up until that first one climbs over the rocks, really breaks the surreal atmosphere and you can tell the character is freaking out. Love this!

Man, the transition in 7:47 between the warm oranges and beautiful orchestra and the cold blue and greys of the ocean as John just floats unmoving was BRUTAL.
I'm completely in love with this piece. It should be reviewed by Corridor Digital, for real.

3:15 I love the way how calm the main character is according to his breathing in the moment when he gets attacked by this thing

This has atmosphere in a was that 2001 Space Odyssey has. Not many sci-fi movies really conjure up a feeling of cosmic dread and general uneasiness, while inspiring a feeling of awe like this does. Really cool.

I got so excited when I saw there were 10 whole minutes! This is brilliant and I could easily watch another hour or two. I felt so much desolation and claustrophobia from the imagery and sound.

This is truly great horror. This isn't just creepiness or terror, this is rising tension, that lurking dread and strangeness that sends tingles up your spine. It plays on the fear of the unknown, the fear of the incomprehensible, the fear of "The Other" that is natural to humanity. It is not jumpscares or spooky ghosts, but something so utterly alien that we are filled with an oppressing, nauseating fear. Like Lovecraft's works, it is horror because it is a violation of nature.
Incredible.

made me love it even more having my name cried out at the end.
brilliant, allowing the horror within our own minds fill the void. Music and sound perfect. this is what Pink Floyd was to me in the olden days.

the shot of the surf breaking at that angle was confusing and beautiful and will be stolen .. but we will know who the genius was... also the skull in the ice mountain.. perfect.

This was amazing.... Damn...
It seems like the man was having a near death experience and his consciousness manifested a physical version of himself inside of... some other world as his real self was passed out under water. What's crazy is that he was given a way out by the angel.. only to almost certainly die there shortly after. It's like death deja vu.

This is a bit rough on places, some shots are a bit too chaotic for me I do like pov/found footage stuff so this is just constructive criticism for sure, BUT your use and ability to build tension is absolutely amazing

This is really amazing work. The atmosphere is so heavy. It's stunning that this is the work of one person. Not only is it beautiful to look at, it's more creepy than most mainstream horror films and nails cosmic horror perfectly. The story is also disturbingly obtuse. I'm blown away.

That whole emerald visual section with the beach, THAT is a vibe in of itself. It was so surreal like a dream. Or in this case maybe a nightmare. I loved that.

I was looking up trailers and gameplay for Scorn and stumbled across these videos and I have to say, they're genuinely interesting with the music, the editing, and total atmosphere I felt like it was Scorn!
