It ended EXACTLY the way I expected to - Kramnik complaining about something.

Vladimir is my favourite chess player of today, he blunders regularly but his openings with so many ideas and aggressive approach from very beginning is impressive! 😉

I would just like to add that I like the way you review a set of games. You fast-forward to the critical moments. Props.

Some people seem to wonder why this match was not as one-sided as previous online results. I really think this is an unwise position to take.

If we pretend that a bunch of things weren't against such a lopsided result in favor of Jospem (it was 3+2 not 3+1, it was a match format with super match-format experienced Kramnik, only Jospem has something to lose, etc, etc). You still cannot just point at the number of wins. An easy test of the top of my head called Fisher's Exact Test, with a PreviousOnlineResults category with 6 wins and 2 draw/losses and a ThisEventResults category with a 11 win 18 draw/loss yields a p-value way above 0.05 (the two categories are not statistically different from each other). Sample size just isn't there. You would have to look at something else.

Who saw that coming that Jospem crushes him online and not even in a real TT setting (3+2 instead of 3+1 which favors Kramnik a LOT)? That strikes us all like lightning now that Jospem was always just a good online blitz player like everyone including Hikaru always said...

why this game is important??
Because it’s the first factual evidence that OTB and ONLINE are really different; new generations of players are really different, and it’s not crazy to think that, sooner or later, we might not be talking about the “best chess player in the world” as only a single person.

Imagine a world where a Magnus Carlsen never could defeat another online chess genius, and viceversa. All the controversy this might bring …

It's so satisfying to see Kramnik get crushed and humiliated. If there were any issues with server lag, it affected **both** players equally. Kramnik is just using a childish excuse because he lost. He wouldn't be complaining about any lag if it had gone his way. Also, what's really sad is how the organizers caved in to every outlandish demand of his. To maniacs like Kramnik, who goes after 10yr old or 13 yr old chess prodigies for "cheating" because they beat him, accommodating their every whim only emboldens them.

The way Jospem easily dominated Kramnik online... There's no way Kramnik should have ever been ahead of Jospem in anyway shape or form??? The fact that he was- In it by itself is certainly SUS!?

So Jospem who beats Magnus four times in a row with a score 4-0 on the four tuesdays can get only 15.5-11-5 score against 50yo former player Kramnik in an offline match. And people don't find anything strange.

in my opinion, you need to stop meat riding Kramnik

Mate if you think this is "Match of the Year", you need to get out more.." Circus of the Year" is more befitting. Starring the prince of clowns Mad Vlad Kramnik 🤡

Jospem plays 1-9 against Kramnik online, and only 11-15 offline. Interesting why?
