I think what Kramnik says should be taken seriously. It's clear that he can't accuse anyone without proof and if he did, he was wrong. However, it is a fact that online chess contains a lot of cheating and it also happens among the chess elite because there is a lot of money at stake, Magnus himself has already said this and seemed concerned. So wanting to reduce what Kramnik says or his fight I find a little strange...everyone should charge online chess sites for more control and transparency...and respect the voice of a former world champion

Several days after writing that blog I took my time to calculate how many times I had played Titled Tuesdays, and it turned out that I have "only" played 25 tournaments (rather than 30) so far. That said, it does not really change much.
GM Kramnik's metric is weird for the reasons mentioned above. Anyway, it would be interesting to see his statistics in detail, as I would not be surprised at all if they also contained some miscalculations.

Navarra's got a point: the cheaters actually blunder MORE in the end game and LESS in the opening, so actually to detect cheaters, you would need to look at the bottom of the table, not at the top!
