Beer Brine Roasted Chicken

Ingredients
• 1 whole chicken (2-5 lbs.)
• 1 bottle of full-bodied beer
• 1 small chopped onion
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 3 tablespoons of white vinegar
• 1 tablespoons of salt
• 1 tablespoon chili flakes
• 5 tablespoons five spice
• Dry rub made with 1tbs dried thyme; 1/2tbs salt; 1/2tbs black pepper; 1tbs chili flakes; 1/2tbs garlic powder; 1/2tbs onion powder
Instructions
• In a bowl add chicken and all ingredients except the dry rub
• Cover with plastic wrap and let sit at room temperature for 2-4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator
• Add chicken and brine to the Ninja Foodi
• Pressure for 20 minutes
• Pat dry the chicken once pressuring is complete
• Spray or baste the chicken with olive or vegetable oil and liberally apply the dry rub to the skin of the chicken
• Close the Ninja Foodi and air crisp the chicken for approximately 20 minutes checking periodically
• Remove the chicken when roasting is to your liking
