Put a tarp/sheet under the hedge and the cleanup is twice as quick.

Great machine, tough as old boots, had it for 6 years. Used in for everything. Only problem I’ve had is tickover cuts out and sometimes problem starting. Never had it serviced or changed anything on it in those 6 years. Only thing we’ve done is use the Sthil moto mix on it. Handle is starting to come loose now. Time to get is serviced and possibly repaired. Stood the test of time. Great buy

You took the words out of my mouth, it's only downsides are noise levels and vibration! Very reliable machine and tuff as old boots! Still have mine as a backup but now use the Husqvarna 122HD60 for smaller jobs, probably not as robust but far more comfortable to use! Though both are advertised as domestic use, they are more than capable of commercial use. For the big stuff jobs I use the Stihl HS81R and Husqvarna 522HDR75X, which will deal with almost anything. Final summary, is the HS45 worth the money, HELL YES!!!

About to coop one of these bad bots up for $180 from someone. Already ordered a new carb, filters and probably order a new blade for it. This sucker a beast!

4 years, no issues.Use good oil, not supermarket brand! I lube the scissors and make sure the motor runs until carb is empty after each session. Stabil mixed in with the 32:1 petroil mix all the time with the recommended amount.

Thanks for your reviews on this hedge cutter, just been out today and bought one with the two foot bar, and it’s ace. I wanted one for around the property and as I’m a good neighbour I do the OAP’s hedges on either side, well you’ve got to look after the older generation haven’t you? Wonder if the next generation are as thoughtful 🤔
But again buddy you helped me out immensely on making up my mind so a big thumbs up from me.
