US Troops Begin Withdraw from Syria

United States forces started their withdrawal from the northern Syrian border with Turkey, Monday, October 7, as seen in footage obtained by Reuters.

The top lawmakers in both houses of Congress, Republican Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, issued separate statements criticizing the move.

"A precipitous withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria would only benefit Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime," McConnell said.

I'm Canadian and I'm glad to see my American boys return home, but the border near turkey and the middle east is actually a crucial connection between Europe and the middle east and actually does need to be guarded. Hopefully a euronation will pick up the slack. (They won't)
