Ugh, that narrative is so toxic.
Yet, I recognize that at one point in time, I parroted b.s. like that because my closet was pretty shallow.
Religious and societal indoctrination can throw homophobic roadblocks in your way. However, if you find yourself(at any age), I was 15/16, telling my grandma not to be so narrow-minded, because lesbians can be super girly and look just like me(probablybecause I am one), and not every tomboy was automatically a lesbian.

I'm rambling but it was so obvious early on why I was drawn to tomboys, thinking I could be one despite loving pink, frilly dresses and the indoors.

Seriously, queer sex ed needs to be taught worldwide, instead of the buttoned up religious, abstinent, pro- hetero kind we all suffered through.😢
