In the gunman there is hope for humanity! The pride in your workmanship is more or less nonexistent in any industry these days.

I like how you still take pride after 20 years+ of doing this. I too like to take pride in my work wether it’s diy or professional.

In glad you brought up the stone chip topic . I work at a shop currently just doing prep work . Well my boss recently told me not to fix the stone chips of to fill them because he didnt want to spend money on primer since it was hundred of small stone chips he said paint will cover them I just laughed like really . I told the painter and the painter doesnt like painting over stone chips that is a good work ethic to follow your gut and not half ass any job

I take your advice to a T literally!! Ive come a long way. I am a house painter of high end homes for 33 yrs and use airless and hvlp sprayers. Always been interested in auto painting and a car enthusiast !! I have a 92 toyota pick up id like to paint, i think with the bed off i could definitely get it done with the help of your videos👍 thanks for your time and EXCELLENT WORK!!! Reason i watched this was to paint my front bumper cover on my 91 mustang gt and fiberglass hood.

THAANK YOU! I’ve been trying to find a video of how to prep a ORIGINAL bumper cover with oem paint. Because sometimes you find a used bumper cover but need to repaint it a different color. I couldn’t find a specific video on this, everything is usually how to prep a NEW bumper cover that is pre primed or non primed. I wasn’t sure if you could just sand the clear coat and respray over it or if you HAD to sand it all down to bare plastic. Thank you 🙏🏽

I'm one of those DIY guys..lol. I feel that, if I'm going to pay the money for the Supplies and paint, and go through it then it's going to be done right. Thank you sir for all of your time that you spend showing the things that you have already proven to work.

LOL.. Perfect timing.  I just been sitting out under a tree in the back yard soft back 500 grit sanding the MPS bumper and trims,  having got most of it done on the car with the random orbital before removing it.  More primer this arvo.  Back yard = no wet on wet with the primer sadly.  Not enough guns, not enough decent continuous conditions.  Still stinking hot here Gunny and now it's humid... bloody Perth weather drifting over.  Anyway progress is being made :)  Another good vid mate

Cool beans Gunman! Just what I was as waiting for! I’m going to tackle this job this spring at home lol, so much information out there, and can get confusing! I have to paint front& rear bumpers and lower cladding on my 02 KIA Sedona, all plastic, van has very nice clean upper white paint and nasty Gold 😩 bottom! I’ve searched YT for how to paint existing plastic bumpers and 99.9% are all new bare bumpers, I’m surprised there’s not much information on refinishing existing plastic’s, especially with most cars have that now days! Thanks for the video and keep up the good work! John in California
