Installing EVERY UPGRADE on my RC CAR- Redcat Lightning

Have you ever wondered what a RC car would look like if you installed every upgrade on it? In this episode of 10th scale garage we upgrade my Redcat Lightning EPX with every aluminum option part. aluminum chassis, aluminum arms, knuckles, hubs and diff housings. We take this old drift chassis and install a brushless motor, upgrade the steering servo drop a fresh new body on it in preparation for a Nitro vs Electric rematch and speedrun.

I AM and entusiast of this platform (same as absima or hsp). Very efective, ultra cheap parts, Simple design yet fast and fun. Mine is an absima converted to brushless and that thing is Faster than you Will ever want even on 2s. I don't have streets with low Traffic long enough to rest top speed of mine lol.

First off everybody you see this posting this is why myself ♥️ this channel you see he goes through and shows and tells you what hes doing and what to maybe expect such an all around great RC channel because you learn something and he takes the time to show you and not everyone knows all about RC's and I was and an one of them dont know it all So thank you for being a great RC channel keep it up and yes a different look gets the razor slipped happens to us all one time or another... 👍👍👍🤛😎✌👋

Your comment about sourcing parts is so spot on. I have only been in the hobby for 2 years now and I have more money in parts that are sitting in boxes than I have in my cars. I have 2 Exceed Sunfires that are basically the same as a Redcat Tornado. I believe the spur is the same as the Redcat Lightning. The manual describes it as a Mod 0.6 and I would love to go to a Mod. 0.8 but have not found anything that fits. I think my sunfires came with brass pinions and they just turn to butter with motor upgrades. Any suggestions ? Thanks again for sharing your awesome build.

Hah just built on exactly like that but chrome on a blue chasis... every aluminum part available, hsp brontosaurus diff housing front and rear with the rear raised 1/4" and a 1 way front and locked rear with a 3300kv 60amp 2s esc. Have drifted em for years (currently own 3) and honestly it was just too heavy.. the down force on the tires was insane, it didnt wanna go under 10mph in a slide haha so it now has a shaved narrowed chassis, longer travel suspension setup with rear towers front and rear, and 70mm coilovers with tender springs in the rear and 60mm front coils, gonna build a semi cantilever for the front and run dual shock absorbers in the rear.. these cars are awesome to work with.. im also currently building a fwd drag car off this chassis hah the front slicks on 4 lugs will look ill under a civic or golf. Good content brother! No beard looks tuff man
