Valve Refuses To Fix Team Fortress 2...

This game has been completely broken and downright dangerous to play for some has been completely ignored for no good reason all while drawing more and more money for Valve. Thanks for watching!

This problem goes FAR beyond cheating and trolling. Tf2 is being held hostage by a malicious group that will dox your identity and spread it using in game chat, and even endanger your life with a swatting attack for even speaking out against them!

People need to know the TRUE extent of the bot crisis because if it continues to be allowed in TF2 it sets a precedent for other games to suffer the same fate.

Bear in mind that a TF2ber tried to make his own anti cheat and the bot hosters responded by calling in a bomb threat on his university under his name. This goes so far beyond the game.

The craziest part about Valve's silence is the fact that it's so much deeper than a bot problem, there is full blown criminal behavior happening and Valve has done absolutely nothing to stop it.

All I can say is that it's laughably ridiculous that valve has let this persist for as long as it has. Their willful negligence has led for one of the best games ever made to rot under the thumb of sociopaths. They have the resources to fix this, but happily choose not to while simultaneously and happily taking the money of the people who play TF2. Absolutely disgusting.

Playing tf2 as a kid was the first time I saw boobs, someone had set their spray paint on the wall and I stood there for the entire game.

Uncle Dane made a good point about the monetization thing: although Valve might not care about monetization from microtransactions (people will open crates whether they're playing official or community servers), if Valve can figure out an anti-cheat that's able to deal with the bot crisis in TF2, there's probably a lot of money to be made by selling that to other game companies.

I dont think the average person understands how advanced the bot AI behaviour is either. even a couple years ago, I encountered some custom bots such as the crossbow medic bot, that would prioritize it's heals based on player kills, but what made it incredible was the accuracy it had. I could be across the map rocket jumping, and the bot would calculate the initial angle of my rocket jump and airshot heal me the first frame it could hit me. there are also "subtle bots", i called them, that would do things like let spys get behind them, and then the frame the spy clicked for the backstab, the bot would spin around for exactly the number of frames needed to not get backstabbed. I havent played in around 2 years but I can only imagine how many bots are actually on servers now

There was a period for a couple months last year where Valve did manage to crush the bots. And then they came back, because TF2 is held up by volunteers within Valve and community developers, because Valve's developers don't want to work on a nearly 20 year old game and the corporate structure doesn't compel anybody to keep working on it. People within Valve get to pick what projects they work on, which is great for the work environment but bad for actually getting anything done. I think Uncle Dane talked about it a while back, and at the time TF2 had only 1 dedicated programmer, 3 artists, and a couple of QA guys who rotated in and out.

This isn't a TF2 exclusive issue, CS2 has similar issues of cheating and neglect. It seriously makes one question if ANY multiplayer game released by Valve like the upcoming Deadlock will see proper support.
