This simplest, shortest putt clinic I have ever seen but has completely changed my game. I have never consistently made 30 footers until I implemented this in my putt.

Thanks Dave the first easy to understand putter class.

I switched to this putt a long time ago. If you stay online you are always close. It's a simple way to putt. Everyone has their own style and this simplified putting for me

I changed my putt in the last few weeks from the nose down toss up to the snake strike and you know what? It works. I'm glad I know my straddle put for the times I need it, but with this putt I'm hitting a high percentage in the circle, and it's going in straight, no wobble, with speed. Yeah, if you miss off to the right or left you might be chasing your disc down, but if you do this right, you're not missing to the right or left, ever. My problem is I subconsciously aim at the basket rather than the middle of the chains (ugh) but I'm working on that. I use an Axiom Envy which seems to really lends itself to this style.

It looks like he is throwing Star Darts. I like this style a lot more than the KC Push Putt. I agree - I would like to see his tips on elevated or hazard putts.

Actually, Jay Reading putts in a very similar style to this. Perhaps you've heard of him? One of the best putters around.

Thanks for the instructive video, although there is one dilemma. While is feel that these straighter faster putts are more accurate, they run the risk of going way past the hole if they miss. How about a video for techniques on putts for baskets on a hill, or ways to putt the disc without the risk of rolling away?

I think your misunderstanding what he's saying.... What Dave is trying to say is that by "narrowing your window to miss" you are lessening the amount of distance that the disc will be off target if you DO miss. The abrupt stop aimed AT THE POLE itself will indeed increase your accuracy as well. A follow through on putting only increases the margin for error by allowing the disc to travel a greater distance across your body leaving more room for release error.

1:08 "Whenever you have a quick shot pop stroke your window tightens up a whole lot..."

It's just funny listening to an older man say that :D
Good tip, I'm gonna try that later today.

This is a very good way to putt however when you drive you do not stop your hand at the release you follow through after a snap.

@wildrivers96067 looks like a dart or an aero from the profile. as far as suggestions go, just find a putter that feels the best in your hand, and try to stay away from overstable putters if you're a beginner. Innova's XD and Aero both have lower rims, so maybe try one of those.

Do you actively open the hand at release or is it supposed to rip out off the hand like the backhand?
thanks

when i learned to use a short, "trick shot" or "snake strike, " my putting improved significantly for short and long putts. don't be a soft and smooth putter (unless it just works for you i guess) and don't extend your arm and try to reach the disc into the basket. just my 2 cents

Which putt disc from Innova are you using dave? I use a sonic and the wall is too high for my small hand to grasp the grip like you are. Which one for small hands do you recommend?>

doesnt matter what sport... follow through is essential, reach for your target. short choppy movements lead to inconsistency.

I don't think I've seen any pros use this style. hmmm

I hate the goddamed graphic.  Cummon Innova!  You don't need that.

The title on the bottom of this video is annoying. Whoever does the editing here needs to make it disappear after the intro.

Try talking to Feldberg about push putting. You want NO wrist action, not short and crisp wrist action.

Absolutely none of the these tips make sense.... why would you want to make your "window" of available space to miss smaller, and why wouldn't you follow through? always essential in any sport involving consistency.
