I learned this on my own i just randomly just started dodging normal spike attacks and when i learned the patterns of the curve ball star power i dodged every one (not everything)

Spike's curveball is easy to dodge once you learn it's pattern

If you're playing as Spike and you're trying to hit someone try to avoid throwing the shots in a repetitive direction/angle. Throw two at once differently.
If you're scouting bushes make sure your curveball will cover as much area as possible.
Get creative with it
