Just picked up my new MG4 Excite 51 on Wednesday! It's such a huge improvement on my old ICE hatchback in every way. Getting my home charger installed next week.

I've done just over 16500kms in my MG4 and love it. Did a 900km day trip last week and it was easy and only took maybe 15minutes longer than an ICE car. Only thing it needs is over the air updates.

Bring on the BYD range next time please.
They seem to be the technology to go to, blade batteries I believe they're based on. Seal, Sealion plus they have a PHEV coming in the form if a Shark utility, that is going to excite many in the world of 4X4.

Skip the Nissan ePower, just get a pure EV. Shame this isn't able to cover the many great ones coming from China now.

5 years of EV ownership and it’s been fantastic. EVs are cheaper to run, almost no maintenance, no mechanic telling you each year that parts “needed replacing”, smoother and quieter ride, plug in at home and charge rather than queue at petrol stations. Use solar and it works out to about $1.50 for a “tank of electrons” getting about 400kms. Newer EVs get more range but even in my “old” EV long trips haven’t been a problem; many times I’ve done a 1000+km journey; 11 hours of driving and 1 hour of charging spread out over 3 stops. I’ll never return to a stinking petrol car.

LOL - the BZ4X is acknowledged worldwide by every respected motoring journalist and motoring association as the worst value mainstream EV ever made.

Replace the Nissan E-power with BYD sea lion 6 and the Toyota Bz4x with either the model 3 or ev9. Much better selection of cars 😊
