A1 Cardone, because I just need it to run far enough to trade it in.

It can be one of the most frustrating things. Choosing between OEM and Aftermarket and then getting parts that are broken right out of the gate... I think my worst was a timing chain tensioner on a mazda on a 10.5 hour book time job and the tensioner fails (brand new tensioner) on startup...

The nice thing about Fords is you can make a lot of money repairing them since there broke down all the time.

I can only relate as owning a Ford and never again. got a used truck for 20k of debt the engine blew 11 months of ownership after seeing the quote for 10k dollers and unable to rise/get a lone for money, but oddly I could traded in the truck and roll over some of the the debt into a new vehical

It’s sad but quality parts are hard to find these days, I feel your pain! Great video

FRM, I gotta give your intro some love. Short sweet and to the point unlike some unnamed you tubers I’m hitting the skip button twice to get through them.

I'm nicknamed "the Ford Whisperer" where I work, so that is pretty much most of my days. My sympathies to you. Love the channel!

I feel your pain Mike. Have a Wrangler in the shop now that had a wiped out PS pump. Ordered a pump and installed. (easy job on this thing) Bled it, filled and road tested. Perfect. Owner comes to get it and wheel was hard to turn. I check it and yep....pump failed. The problem is the QQ of these companies manufacturing parts is out the window. And sadly when we want OE, many times they are discontinued. I am currently waiting for a new pump to arrive to make it right....and eat the difference in price...Sucks.

Serves you right for not opening the box before tearing into the vehicle.

I also had a low money Monday. Couldn't get anything done because of putting out other people's fires. I have to learn to stop being so nice and helping everybody out when I have my own work to do.

Yeah well I’ve got the worst nightmare of them all 2 for one. I got a 5.4l for exhaust manifolds 6 bolts on each side broke got them out. Got another 5.4l with seized plugs came in from another shop. Can’t get number 3 plug out tried the tool tried screw extractor tried to stick a drift punch down the spark plug tube and pound a hole big enough so the tool will bite with no luck. Calling a motor. Then I have an Acura to change the rear cradle on. Monday’s suck that’s not even including what’s booked for today!

I feel your pain. Had the same thing on heavy equipment. Since switched suppliers. And can't be happier.

Just had this happen from the dealer. They typed 1 letter wrong for the vin. They sent ac comp for an f150. I was working on a transit. Compressors looked very similar with 1 in the box and other in van. Got them out side by side and they were different. Learned, look VERY close at your parts before you take it apart. I felt stupid.

I share your pain; as parts suppliers move operations to the lowest labor cost countries, the quality of some parts has suffered greatly. I just installed a new plenum pan on my old Dodge Ram pu to correct a known oil consumption issue. My parts supplier didn't have my usual brand of gaskets, but he had one that I had never heard of.

It's only going to get worse as cars get more complex

Am eyeing a 71 cutlass so I dont have to deal with these type of issues in the future.
Lol
