Thanks for sharing this information, I've purchased a modem car, the year is 2008, I've had it for almost a year now, I'm learning about the check engine light, anytime it illuminates, I plug in the obd2 reader and scan the fault codes and it gives me a description of the fault, and I get it rectified as soon as possible, because I don't want the car to go onto a limp mode which can be embarrassing, Thanks again and all the best.

In my experience taking the car to the dealership is just a way of to make the customer spend more money and thinking that they're getting good service. I encourage people to learn the basics and try to help themselves. Get a midgrade scanner and connect with people who are auto specialists..
