There was so many times when i was modeling something and realised that my symmetry settings were disabled and had to fiddle with duplication, mirroring, merging etc... I was totally unaware of this! The time i would save! Thanks :D

I’m in a 3d modelling class where we basically leaned the fundamentals and try so do everything with that….but I’ve been trying to do a car for my final assignment for this semester. Legit a weekend in and I’m going, “dude. Cv curve, birail 2, convert nurbs to poly, retop….why is this a no no.”
Prof: “ naaaw. You shouldn’t-Wait….Pardon? Whyyyy wasn’t I taught this. I was always told, “retop bad” but that looks cleaaaan. Was about to say, this isn’t a reliable strat, but you are using it for all the panels on this car? dude. They really did update shit. Y’all wanna send over some tutorials after class?”
I’m usually the dude to go in and use a software with bare minimum parts for ever. But in assignments with deadlines and my inclination to pitch waaay to ambitious assignment concepts….well ya learn fast that maya has some tricks up it’s sleeve.
