12-year-old girl overdosed on common drug

It's an ingredient found in many cold and allergy medicines: Diphenhydramine. But it ended up killing a 12 year old Waukesha girl.

The amount of scary stories I heard from people overdosing on Benadryl is terrifying.
The overdose symptoms that I know include: Auditory Halluciantions/visual Hallucinations(of dead relatives/people), rapid hear beat, dry mouth, inability to communicate functionally, and delusions.

i am 14 years old and i overdosed on benadryl on january 15 of this year. it was intentional because i was trying to end my life and all i can say is it’s not worth it. it was the worst feeling i could ever imagine. in that moment i felt like i was going to die, thought i was going to die and wanted to die. i took 32 pills and how i’m here is a miracle. all i want to say is anyone who is struggling please ask someone for help or if your not comfortable with start journaling or something. little things will help i promise. i was in your shoes going through all these videos seeing if it was a easy way to go out too. EVERYTHING happens for a reason and that’s something i live by.

What about the HPV vaccine? If she died only hours after getting the vaccine maybe that had something to do with it along with the Benadryl. I'm curious as to why bring up the vaccine but only focus on the Benadryl?

I take Benadryl nightly because my terrible allergies make me cough all night when I try to sleep. I actually got my tonsils removed because they had holes and made the allergies worse. This poor girl probably took it for the deliriant effect.

She must have been allergic or something because I took a 800 mg dose of DPH (benadryl) and I was fine. I think you have to take 3x the amount I did to die. So basically if she took the pills she would've had to go through more than one box depending on what she had.

it takes about 1.5 grams to overdose on bendryl and one dose of benadryl is only dosed 0.025 -0.050mg so she mustve taken alot
