Hands down one of the best scenes from a movie I’ve ever seen .

Just watched an interview with Bernie and he said that while much if not most of this movie is fantasy that this scene is very accurate, with the song coming together in that living room. Bernie wrote the lyrics to "Your Song" at the kitchen table, took them in to Elton sitting at the piano and Elton put the song together in maybe ten or twelve minutes. Just magic.

I feel like it’s such a beautiful moment when Elton says “those are the sweetest eyes I’ve ever seen.” And Bernie looked at him like how a true friend would look at you. I’m so glad Bernie and Elton are still friends. The movie is fantastic.

It really doesn't matter if the scene never played out like this in reality... The fact is, the music really did come this easy to Elton, and himself and Bernie had a really powerful relationship when it came to the music.
Most importantly, they are still good friends to this day.

This song is so magical, so emotional. I love how his mother and grandmother just stop and stare and can't do anything else, because that's what this scene does. It casts a wonderful magnificent spell, and you can't do anything but listen and look in awe
