Very nice finishing job. Hand tooled, brushed well and sealed...nice.
Our local codes are different. Without 4" minimum of washed gravel under the slab, the inspector would red tag it before it was poured.
Gets very cold in winter, here.

HELP - love your videos but I have a problem. I poured some concrete countertops in place yesterday and thought they were pretty smooth but noticed this morning there is a lot of aggregate coming through. Cement is still wet enough to put a finger print in. What can I do to smooth it out? Portland cement or am I screwed? Thanks in advance

How does someone find such a great concrete company such as yourself? I've watch a lot of your videos and the pride that you take in your work is amazing. I often desire to do what you are doing in this video but I'm so scared that the concrete company won't be as diligent or knowledgeable as you are in this whole process. You are thinking about the sagging gate, the roots and water pipes under the dug area and all those other issues that could be a problem. I want to hire someone that thinks of all the things that you do when you take on a job.

When you do an estimate do you include concrete psi, slop of concrete, expansion joint details, the thickness of road base gravel, etc. Also do you ever include a topology drawing with your estimate?
